InSight looks forward to a bright future in our community. We are currently completing the design of two additional Longwood buildings, planning and zoning 25 acres in the Uplands area that encompasses a commercial shopping centre, two high rises and medium/low density multi-family units. Additionally, Insight’s plans include a large high rise waterfront development in downtown Nanaimo and a comprehensive planned community in Parksville.

Since its’ inception, InSight Holdings Ltd. has had a corporate vision to create communities of the highest quality and aesthetic. Our philosophy has and will always be to create diversity in the mid-island region --- not cookie-cutter developments. One of our guiding principles is that the homes and communities which InSight creates truly reflect the sensibility and lifestyle of the people who live in them.
Building on our in-house experience, InSight partners with local professionals including contractors, architects, designers, engineers and building envelope consultants to ensure quality at every phase of construction.
InSight also believes its commitment to the Nanaimo Region extends beyond the surveyor’s stakes. This is why we invest so heavily in landscaping and environmental design around our developments as well as why we go over and above with donations towards city parks, public art and ornamental refinements to help beautify the roadways leading into our communities. Nurturing the island community and preserving its breathtaking beauty are important values that guide InSight at every stage of development.
Being a good neighbour also plays a significant role in InSight's thinking. We feel strongly that enhancing our communities should involve surrounding neighbourhoods - one reason we donated over $2 million towards the Oliver Woods Community Centre, a public recreation facility everyone can enjoy.

COMPANY
In 1993, InSight began crafting quality real estate projects in Nanaimo with the development of our multi-phase adult-oriented residential community— Longwood. As the project grew, so did our company. From the 50-acre country gardens of our adult-oriented Longwood to the family-focused amenities surrounding Hawthorne to the contemporary live/work loft-style residences in Hawthorne Corner, we craft homes for a wide range of lifestyles. Our residences in Carmanah Estates and Carmanah Mews have created north Nanaimo homes for two distinct categories of home buyers. Our legacy continues as we plan for a unique new community of homes on the pond at OliverWood--- with nature and the popular Oliver Woods Rec Centre as our neighbour. InSight’s newest commercial projects include plans for a landmark Hotel on Nanaimo’s stunning downtown waterfront. The same care and attention the community has seen in the quality Longwood Station Mall (home of Thrifty’s Foods, Boston Pizza and the famous Longwood Brew Pub) will be maintained in our future projects in Parksville and on our many new sites at Longwood Landing off Uplands Drive. InSight Holdings Ltd. is the owner and/or developer of the award-winning InSight’s communities located in Nanaimo and surrounding Vancouver Island communities. InSight also develops real estate projects in the BC Interior.
