We believe our commitment extends beyond the surveyor’s stakes – which is why we donate towards city parks, public art and landscaping to beautify the areas and roadways leading to our communities. 

 

Our philosophy has and will always be to create diversity, not to build cookie-cutter developments.  From the 50-acre country gardens of our adult-oriented Longwood to the family-focused amenities surrounding Hawthorne to the contemporary live/work loft-style residences in Hawthorne Corner, we create homes for a wide range of lifestyles.  InSight had submitted an Official Community Plan amendment application and plan to develop a vibrant 26 acre community in Parksville, British Columbia which includes residential, retail, office and congregate care sites. 

 

The commercial node is intended to be commercial units which will meet the service needs of surrounding residents.  Sensitive development of multi-family housing adjacent to the commercial units will provide varied housing styles, sizes and forms.  Higher density buildings will be located to the street edges of the site to maintain the existing scale and show respect for the established community.  The impact of these buildings will be further minimized through design and enhanced landscaping, including a trail network. Economically attainable housing options and choices will allow for “aging in place” while meeting the demands of a growing city.  The close proximity of this site to the new Health Centre will further enhance the livability and walkability of this neighbourhood.
